Shandong Sea Water Seed Industry Key Lab, authorized by Department Science and Technology, Shandong in July, 2024, was co-established with Ocean University of China. Marine organism germplasm exploration and new species cultivation are the two main features of the lab. Also it engages marine organism germplasm conservation and collection, phenotype measure and genetic evaluation, important economic characteristics hereditary basis analyzation and regulatory mechanism, high-efficiency gene editing breakthrough, whole genome selection, reproduction stem cells transplantation, molecule designing breeding and other key technology research and new species cultivation.
